Do You Want to Extend the Life of Your Aesthetic Injections?
Aug 25, 2021

Here is how to get the most life out of your Botox and fillers.

Many will agree, injectables have become the holy grail of medical aesthetics. You can de-wrinkle, smooth, lift, and plump, all in one treatment time with your chosen aesthetic injector. Of course, this doesn’t come without a price, and sometimes it can be pretty hefty. What if we told you that we’re able to help you extend the life of your neurotoxins and fillers, giving you more bang for your buck? When you’re able to extend the life of your injectables, you’re able to go longer between treatments, ultimately, saving yourself money. You can thank us at your next treatment!

Keep Your Skin and Body Hydrated
Grab a moisturizer, be sure to use it, and you’re good to go. This seems simple, right? While this is true, here at The Breslow Center for Plastic Surgery and Injxcellence Medical Spa, we advise you to take it one step further: Keep up with your water consumption.

By drinking the recommended 8 glasses (don’t stop there if you don’t want to!) of water per day, the hyaluronic acid, which many fillers are made of, will bind to the water in your body. In turn, this will leave your face with a youthful plump, your lips juicer, and your skin glowing.

Use Topical Hyaluronic Acid
Hyaluronic Acid products will also deliver the bang for your buck when it comes to extending the life of your injectables. While there isn’t much that can help extend the life of your neurotoxin injections like there is for hyaluronic acid filler, topical hyaluronic acid products are extremely significant in smoothing and softening fine lines, wrinkles and protecting skin texture.

Here are a few that we love and carry here at The Breslow Center for Plastic Surgery:

SkinMedica HA5+: HA5 Rejuvenating Hydrator has a combination of 5 hyaluronic acids that work immediately to hydrate the outer layers of the skin throughout the day. Lastly, HA5+ supports your skin’s own ability to retain hydration. We love intuition.

TNS Essential Serum: TNS addresses total skin rejuvenation. Each product has influential antioxidants, but they’re intended to work in different ways to support the skin. When paired together, this combination is a powerhouse of complete skin renewal.

ZO Skin Health Daily Power Defense: This serum provides the skin with antioxidant protection to fight the appearance of free radical damage. It also helps tighten and firm the skin.

Commit to Regularly Scheduled Facials
We understand this may not always be possible. Committing to your skincare and facials keeps your skin looking healthy and youthful. The deep cleanings also remove dead skin cells, prevent infections, and reduce stress on the skin, not to mention the mind and body.

Choose a Licensed Injector
Choosing a licensed, skilled injector will benefit you in the long run. Experienced injectors understand how to dissect facial anatomy and combine it with your goals, in turn, choosing the correct injection type and dosage for you. This combination will lead to longer-lasting results. A skilled injector may cost you on the front end, but the results and longevity will always pay for themselves on the back end.
