4. KYBELLA Chin Contouring
If you’re single, there’s nothing as stressful as creating a dating site profile picture. Sure, using a filter can get rid of your double chin long enough to draw interest, but there’s no filter for eliminating chin and neck fat when it’s time to meet in person. Fortunately, KYBELLA chin contouring can give you a leaner, more-youthful neck without plastic surgery, allowing you to get rid of a filter altogether and be proud of the real you.
KYBELLA is an FDA-approved injectable treatment that safely dissolves excess fat in the neck and under the chin. It’s composed of deoxycholic acid, a naturally occurring chemical in the body responsible for the breakdown and absorption of dietary fats. After KYBELLA injections, fat cells in the chin and neck area can no longer store or accumulate fat and are instead cleared away by the body’s natural processes.
Whether a “double chin” results from weight gain, aging, or genetics, it’s tough to get rid of— even with exercise and a healthy diet. KYBELLA takes about 10 minutes to inject, and most patients see improved looks after three to four treatments spaced six weeks apart. The fine needle used to inject KYBELLA causes only a slight burning sensation similar to a shot, and patients experience some swelling and bruising for just a few days after the first treatment. Side effects are more minimal with subsequent treatments.
As long as patients prevent weight gain by following a healthy diet and exercise plan, KYBELLA results can be permanent. It’s important to note that candidates for KYBELLA must have excess fat in the chin area for the treatment to work; it does not get rid of loose, hanging skin that creates the “turkey neck” look. Patients who have this problem may be ideal candidates for a neck lift surgery, so be sure to consult with our providers if you aren’t sure which procedure is best for you.
3. Lip Fillers
Let’s face it: Full, well-defined lips are more kissable than lips that are barely there. If you want better lips for your loved one this Valentine’s Day, consider lip fillers to add volume and symmetry without plastic surgery.
Some patients come to us wanting their top lip to have the same fullness as the bottom. Some want a more defined cupid’s bow, characterized by a profound “V” in the center of the upper lip. And some patients simply want to smooth the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles around the mouth for a more youthful appearance. We can do all of that by injecting JUVÉDERM around the lip area to stimulate collagen production. JUVÉDERM is made from calcium and hydroxyapatite, which is a safe, natural, water-based gel that plumps and smoothes the skin.
Because we use a gentle, non-surgical injection technique, patients experience reduced tissue trauma at the site of the procedure, leaving them with less bruising and swelling than with other lip augmentation cosmetic treatments. Swelling and soreness that does occur lasts only a few days. The result is beautiful, plump lips in about two weeks that last six months.
2. Microneedling
They say people in love have a “glow” about them due to the relaxed, happy state that oxytocin—the love hormone—elicits. If you’re in love (or hoping to find it), why not make your skin match that overall glow while also reducing fine lines and wrinkles?
Microneedling uses tiny needles to stimulate collagen and elastin production. As needles are inserted, a special reagent mixes with the patient’s platelet-rich plasma (PRP). Because platelets promote cellular regeneration, the process gives skin a brighter, more youthful appearance, alleviates wrinkles, and tightens the face and neck. Microneedling is even effective in reducing acne scars. Besides the face, the cosmetic treatment can also address:

Microneedling is a virtually painless procedure. We apply numbing cream 30 to 45 minutes prior to the treatment, and then use Vivace, Lutronic Genius, or Skinpen — all of which are FDA-cleared and designed with patient comfort in mind. The visit takes about an hour, with the actual application taking only 15 to 30 minutes. Afterward, the skin might feel sunburned and take on a pink or red appearance. In most cases, clients are up and running the next day and see a beautiful, youthful glow. As the body continues to rebuild the collagen and elastin for several weeks after that, patients continue to see improvement.
1. Botox
Forget flowers and jewelry. What you really want for Valentine’s Day is Botox treatments. The FDA-approved neurotoxin works wonders by erasing frown lines or “11s” between the eyebrows, smoothing wrinkles on the forehead, and minimizing crow’s feet. It’s the most-requested cosmetic treatment because patients love how it makes them look young again without plastic surgery.
Throughout our lives, muscle contractions allow us to make facial expressions. Smiling, frowning, showing surprise—those all require muscle movement in our faces, and when we’re younger, the skin is tight enough to conceal the lines those expressions make. As we age, our skin loses elasticity and firmness, and connective tissues in skin and cartilage get weaker. The result is thinner, looser skin that reveals expression lines more clearly.
Botox treatments reduce the appearance of those lines and wrinkles by blocking nerve impulses and temporarily relaxing facial muscles. However, our staff is highly experienced at injecting Botox in a way that allows patients to still make facial expressions.
We inject Botox with a fine needle, so the only thing patients feel is a pinch. The cosmetic treatment takes only a few minutes, and patients may notice some minimal bruising for a day or two. Within about a week, expression lines disappear, and results last up to four months. For ongoing results, it’s best to schedule Botox treatments routinely.
