Contact the Breslow Center for Plastic Surgery about the cosmetic surgery procedures at our office in northern New Jersey.
Breast reduction, or reduction mammaplasty, is designed for women with overdeveloped breasts who experience various medical problems caused by excessive weight, including back and neck pain, skin irritation, skeletal deformities, breathing problems, and painful bra strap indentations on their shoulders. Breast reduction procedures performed at our New Jersey practice entail the removal of fat, glandular tissue, and skin from the breasts, making them smaller, lighter, and firmer. The procedure can also reduce the size of the areola, which is the darker skin surrounding the nipple. With a breast reduction performed by noted cosmetic surgeon Dr. Gary Breslow, you will no longer have the physical discomfort of large breasts, and proportion will be restored to your body.
There are various breast reduction techniques available today, and these techniques are all offered and performed by Dr. Breslow. The most common breast reduction technique performed today by plastic surgeons, including Dr. Breslow, uses an anchor-shaped incision that circles the areola, extends downward, and follows the natural curve of the crease beneath the breast. Newer techniques designed to minimize scarring are also performed by Dr. Breslow. The breast reduction technique ultimately chosen is individualized for each patient, and depends upon the patient's anatomy and their ultimate goals.
Dr. Breslow often performs other procedures, such as liposculpture, abdominoplasty ("tummy tuck"), arm lift, and thigh lift in conjunction with breast reduction at our New Jersey practice to achieve better results. If you are interested in a free breast reduction consultation with cosmetic surgeon Gary Breslow, M.D., contact his New Jersey office. Dr. Breslow's staff will help you arrange a time that fits your schedule.
For patients who are suffering from back, shoulder or neck pain, or patients who experience neurological problems related to large breasts, health insurance may pay some or all of the cost of the breast reduction procedure. A detailed history and physical examination, as well as inquiry by our office staff with the patient's insurance company, can determine if a patient is eligible.
